Meet Sydney, a passionate force behind Marathon Marketing & Branding. My journey into the world of social media management began in 2015 when a local restaurant turned to me for help, recognizing my marketing acumen. What started as a side hustle quickly blossomed into a genuine love for elevating local businesses. Growing up in a family of local business owners, I understand the stakes of success. I’ve witnessed firsthand how a thriving local business impacts families and communities.
As I delved deeper into social media, I realized the challenges local businesses faced—juggling marketing while trying to manage daily operations, feeling invisible in their communities, and struggling to engage potential customers. This ignited a fire within me to not just solve these problems, but to empower local businesses to thrive.
How is my approach different? I earned my Certificate in Design Thinking & Innovation at the UVA Darden School of Business and it transformed how I approach marketing. I use design thinking principles and strategies to help you master your message. And the results don’t lie… businesses experiencing their busiest days, volunteer organizations boosting their memberships, retail shops recording historic sales during the holiday season.
